Local Events This Weekend is an independent guide to in-person community events across Orange County and Los Angeles County: markets, fairs, festivals, conventions and temporary gatherings.

How we check events

We use organizer, city and venue sources, show when each listing was checked, and link to the source. Recurring dates are calculated from a published schedule within a limited window. Announced closures override the normal schedule. We do not roll last year’s festival dates forward.

Both counties, every category

When we discover an event type in one county, we research that type in the other. This first collection is selective, not a complete county calendar. An empty search does not mean no events exist.

Prices and tickets

Free entry may still mean paying for food, parking or activities. If a price is not confirmed, we say so. Tickets are handled by the organizer; we do not sell them.

Changes and corrections

For cancellations, ticket questions and access arrangements, use the official event link on each listing. An organizer correction form for this guide is not yet open. For corrections, use the official event source linked on each listing.

How the guide is funded

Browsing is free. The guide may use clearly labeled sponsorships, featured placements, referrals and display advertising. Paid placement will not change the source links or event details.
